(no subject)
So, my dad brought me my mail at work (why? I don't know) and because I was a dumbass, I opened the card from my grandma. She sends us all cards for every holiday, so it's never a big thing but today it is.
Last year on my birthday, my great grandma passed away. Great grandpa died when I was little. There were a lot of kids left behind, so there was a lot to work out regarding the sale of their land. They must have gotten it figured out because with this card I got a letter and a $500 check. The letter said something about how this was part of her money from the land sale (already talked to mom and amber, they got the same) and that she wanted us to save most of it, but use $20-$50-$100 and get something personal for ourselves. She also said that when we do it we should say a prayer for our great grandparents because none of it would have happened without them.
And now I can't stop crying. Just had to open that damn envelope. Crap. and I'm at work for another 3 1/2 hours.
