I wish I wanted to update this thing more regularly.
I put in an application to Ruby Tuesdays on friday. The hiring manager was there, but he said to come back monday at 2:30 for an interview. There I was at 230 monday afternoon for him to hand me a card, tell me take the test at the website listed and then to call him when I was finished. After that I'm to call him wednesday to set up another interview. WHY he couldn't tell me this on friday, I do not know. THEN, I'm taking this test, and I figure it's going to be how to give correct change etc...no. The first part of it was EXACTLY like filling out an application, and the next two parts were multiple choice psych questions. part 2:pick the choice that best describes you. You have 50 seconds for each question. once you hit the "next" button, you cannot go back to change your answer. Just wanted to know how positive, organized and helpful I am pretty much. Part 3. Select Strongly disagree, disagree, neutral, agree, or strongly agree for each question. This time 20 seconds for each question. "Cleanliness has its own smell" I swear to you that was one of the questions. Then there was alot in there implying how you deal with different races of people, and how you deal with stress, how you deal with managment and other coworkers, they asked me another 8 times how postive I am...It was ridiculous. Actually, one question I noted was something along the lines of: "Great service depends on treating people differently depending on who they are." Well that depends. I would say NO WAY to this question, because it does NOT depend on who they are, it depends on what their needs are...but is that what they meant when they said "who they are" ? I have promised myself to tell the guy interviewing me exactly how poorly written these questions are. Cleanliness has its own smell?!?!?! anyway.
I got my application for educational services in the mail today. I lack the confidence to think that I could do this job...it kinda sounds like they just throw you into the position with no training at all, and your tutoring sessions happen either at the library or at the student's home. I'm not sure I want to do this...but I think it will open a real window into whether or not I could teach, like I think I want to do.
AND, the trial has been pushed back again. I talked to my lawyer yesterday who told me only that we were getting a new judge and neither her nor the prosecuting attorney knew why. I talked to someone else today, who actually got a call from the prosecuting attorney, who told him that the court date was pushed back into atleast april, possibly May or June because they attorney has a murder trial that week.
It will NEVER end.
On a better note, I took out one of my CD drives and installed a DVD RW drive. I started playing Myst 2 days ago (I have the anniversary DVD addition) and have already beaten the first game. It's keeping me busy.
Plus, Will wants to take next weekend to see some friends. that would be really nice.
