Summary: Moegi fixes Juri’s nail to stop the girl from spazzing~
Warnings: None!
Moegi: sat criss cross on the large counter that came out of the wall by the large windows that covered the whole wall. In front of her was a blank sheet of her calligraphy paper and a small jar of ink by her brush by her. Taking a deep breath she prepared to begin, trying to calm herself fully first from her first two days at the her new Tokyo high school.
Juri: The door to the art room door flew open and Juri ran in the room. Her eyes looked around and only seeing a lowerclassman and not the teacher, a frown crossed her face. A slight tint of panic was in her voice as she asked the other girl, "Excuse me please. Do you know where the sensei is?" Her purple eyes (which could possibly be natural) were looking at the other girl as she straightened her uniform skirt with her hands, trying to unmess her outfit that had gotten a little disordered on her run through the school. Her teal colored hair was up in two pig talls with dark maroon hairties to match her uniform.
Moegi:Well apparently she wasn't going to be able to practice her calligraphy until this evening. Smiling at the other girl she capped the jar of ink, and she was quickly glad that she had brought a pair of old jeans with a big baggy shirt. Both items of clothing like her brown boots had odd stains on them like paint but different also. Messing with her red hair for a moment she grinned, “Uh she went to go get something, I stopped listening to her right after I knew what was going on. Sorry.” Blue eyes swept over her hair and eyes for a moment, “You’re pretty.”
Juri: Smiling in the middle of her panic, Juri looked at the other girl. "Thank you. I'm Arata Juri. You don't know where the paint is do you? and the glitter?" She held up one hand where something had happened to a nail and caused half he nailpolish on one clittery red nail to have come off. "I have to be at work in an hour and don't have time to get this fixed right." She looked in serious need of rescue, as if the nails would effect her job or something. Stomping a foot, she seemedto pout, "Ahh! if I am going to have money for rent on the first I need this job to go right. Can nothing ever go right?"
Moegi::"Kanazawa Moegi" Jumping down from the counter with a bit more of a dramatic effect than possibly needed she walked over to one of the cabinets and picked out a jar of dark red paint and fished around on one of the other shelves before pulling out a jar of glitter also. Placing them both on the table and smiling proudly, "I've come here during lunch the past two days so I know the art room a bit." Though it was hard to believe it was hard for Moegi to make new friends in a place where she knew no one, especially because she was known as a troublemaker already because she stuck her gum in a girl's hair and threw paper balls at the teacher. Of course she wa snitched out and she was already known as the foreign girl who causes trouble.
Juri: Juri's eyes widened, "You can help?" She was suddenly smiling. While Juri might be very suspicious of the motives of men, that same did not extend to girls. "Thank you so much Moegi-chan! Oh I would be so grateful if you could help me" The hand with the problem nail was held out so the other girl could get a better look at the offfending nail. "I haven't seen you here before, are you new?" Now that the girl's problem seemed about to be fixed, she was calming down. Juri hadn't made many friends at the school either, for various reasons, although she did have a few.
Moegi::Blinking Moegi: retrieved another brush from the shelf and sat down on the table, reaching out and taking Juri's hand with her rougher fingers. Her own nails were bit down, she had always been like that and painted her nails sometimes whenever she got in a 'growing out her nails' phase so she knew something about it, just had only painted someone else's nails once, "I snuck into Konohamaru's room once and painted his nails." It was random and Juri probably wouldn't care but oh well.
Juri: Without thinking about how odd it was to have just met someone like that, Juri giggled at that. "Is he your brother?" She was smiling, "I could paint your nails sometime? I can't do my own, I need to have them done for me, normally they are more fancy than this, so I am soo lucky it happened now when they are just red and glitter." She looked at the nails, "You think it's salvageabe? I have a photo shoot my manager is picking me up for in an hour." She bit her lip as she looked at her new friend.
Moegi:Examining the nail the redhead nodded, "We'll just have to put on two coats, and it'll be a lil' diffrent than the other nails is all." Moegi grinned at her, it had been such a long time since she had a female friend in Japan this was interesting and fun. At the thought of Konohamaru being her brother she shook her head, "No just a goof friend of mine is all." Of course she had female friends in Ireland but it was easier for her to fit in there.
Juri: The relief in the older girl was obvious, "Oh thank you soo much. I don't know what I would have done if it couldn't be fixed. As long as it's not obvious I can make sure to not show the nail too much. I need to get them redone anyway in two days to match my swim suit for this weekend," OK, Juri was babbling a little bit. "I don't have any friends that are boys." Of course Juri was popular with the boys ... but not the type of popular where they would want to be her friends, and she didn't want to deal with boys like that. "I don't actually have many friends here. I only moved here two years ago."
*Moegi:"I don't have any Japanese friends that are girls." She laughed, she had always gotten into too much trouble with the teachers and hung out with Konohamaru and Udon too much to really make her appealing to other girls as a friend. Getting just enough paint on the brush she painted the other girl's nail and leaned back on the table before propping her feet up on the back of the chair, "I've been in Tokyo for 3 days and at this school for two and I don't exactly think many girls are lining up to be my friends."
Juri: "Well they think I'm going to steal their boyfriends or something, like I'd want them." She rolled her eyes at the thought of that. Although why the girls thought that could probably be infered. "If you want to be, you can be my friend?" A frown passed her face at the sudden thought that maybe the othe girl wouldn't want to be friends. "But you're probably like artistic and tallanted and something." Pushing on though, she asked, "What kind of things do you like to do?"
*Moegi:Oh yay a easy question, "Calligraphy, sculptures, playing outside." Moegi smirked, "Pranks. And I'd love to be your friend." She grinned broadly before blushing slightly, "What about you Juri-san?" Wow she had a new friend, and it was pretty easy too. Looking down at her nail she touched it lightly to find that the paint was dry and she dipped the brush again, "I'm creative I guess, thats how I got my scholarship so you could say I'm talented." Now she had never been very proud except in her few talents, after all it was warranted.
Juri: OK, Juri was officially impressed. "Wow. You have a scholarship?" Why was everyone she was running into these days so smart. "I'm not that smart. I'm taking my university admissions tests the next two weeks though." She paused before she seemed willing to say what she did. "Umm, I used to figure skate. I still love doing it for fun, but I can't compete any more, but it's pretty expensive to skate around here.. Other than that I work as a model. I like trying new food when I can, so I guess thats pretty boring, huh? Must be great having a scholarship." If she had a scholarship her money situation would be so much better.
*Moegi:"Yeah to the arts classes at Tokyo U." Her eyes widened as she dipped the brush in the glitter and smoothed it over the top of the paint on her nail, "Figure skating? Thats so cool! I could never do that. You must be really graceful." Her eyes shone with respect as she looked at her new friend, "I'm an accident waiting to happen, I would die if I tried to skate." She laughed it was true, even though she could at least move at a decent speed evne if she couldn't do tricks.
Juri: Juri bushed and giggled, "Oh I don't think I'm graceful. I sometimes am not paying attention and stuff, and last weekend I slid right off the hood of a car. But it was a really high gloss paint job. My parents put me in gymnastics when I was really little though." She was watching the glitter get applied to the nails. "You have really graceful hands though." She smiled at her new friend, "You already take calsses there? I am really hoping to get accepted there for classes in April, but I hear the test is really hard and I couldn't go to a cram school."
*Moegi:Moegi: shook her head, "I'm not taking normal classes, just certain arts ones. Its hard to find someone who practices calligraphy the way I was taught though. Although I'm probably not looking in the right places, not many people will teach a traditional art to a foreigner." Sighing for a moment she shook her head and grinned again, "Well I work with my hands a lot, its the only part of me thats graceful." Looking sheepish for a moment she fiddled with her hair as she glanced at her nail before capping both jars.
Juri: "My skating coaches were always foreigners so I guess it doesn't bother me like some people." Suddenly she remebered something, "Oh, I need to give you my card once these are dry enough to reach into my bag. And thank you so much for the help, I don't know what I would have done without you. Seriously, but least my manager is happy with me right now so he might not have been too mad." She was smiling sweetly, as if smiling was her natural facial expression. "So did you move here with your parents?"
*Moegi:Shaking her head she check her hand again, "Its dry." Normal paint didn't take very long to dry especially with as thin of a coat she had used. Reaching into her own bag on the floor she pulled out a small brush and ran it through her hair quickly before dividing it so the pigtails rested on either shoulder and she began to braid them easily like it was second nature,"My mom sent me to live here with my Aunt and Uncle."
Juri: With a smile, Juri reached into her bag to pull out a very glittery business card with Juri's name, phone number and occupation of 'model' on it. She handed it over. "Here. We have to meet up and do something sometime. Its just kind of hard to know when I am going to be free with a lot of advance notice. I'm looking for another job right now because I got fired from the resturant I used to work at. My model schedual is pretty unpredictable, but my side job of cleaning this one apartment building is really flexible for hours." it did sound like Juri kept busy. "My parents moved back home, but I stayed here."
*Moegi:"Why'd you get fired?" Taking the card and sliding it in her back pocket she found it odd that this girl would do something that warranted firing. Still though she could do things that Moegi couldn't predict, but she normally thought the best of people when she first met them. Tying off one of her braids wiwth a hairtie from her wrist she started on the other one, "Where are you from?"
Juri: "Oh, the resturant owner was looking for a reason to fire me and these guys came in that were real difficult and he acted all like it was my fault that they were easily offended. Like I read the specials to them like I was suposed to and they got all offended and he completely took their side on it and fired me on the spot. his wife thought something was going on, so she wanted me gone too, so it's probably best I got fired." She wiggled her fingers as she recounted the story, it was by no means the first time she had gotten fired form a job, normally for just as stupid of reasons as that. She didn't seem too upset about being fired, of course tehre is a good chance she was much more upset when it actually happened. "From Sopporo, but dad got transfered here for work, but then he got transfered back and I just stayed."
*Moegi:Blinking at the long winded explanation she nodded, "My family owns a restaurant, they never fire people for stupid reasons like that." She sounded proud as she shook her head, "Thats a really bad reason to fire someone, you didn't do anything wrong." If she ever got fired for something she didn't do her friends her family would be really mad and would protect her.
Juri: Juri just shrugged, "Its not a big deal. Well I miss the money from it, but it will be all right." She had a smile on her face as if nothing would really keep her down for long and she was good at bouncing back.
*Moegi:Nodding she slid off the table and walked to the counter to gather her calligraphy supplies, "If you ever do need the money you can get a job at our restaurant, it would be kinda nice to have someone there who isn't from my family or a friend of my family." She rolled her eyes, there were only a few Japanese people who worked there, everyone else either knew her when she was a kid or when she was growing up, or knew stories from that embarassing period of her life.
Juri: Straightening the blazer over her uniform, she smiled. "You don't ave to do that, but I do really appreciate it. My manager should be here soon to pick me up." She brushed some of her teal colored hair behind her ear, thankfully this school didn't have a hair color mention in their school rules. "It was really nice meeting you Moegi-chan." She stood up, straightening her uniform skirt as well as she grabbed her school bag from where she had set it on the floor, "And thank you so much for the help with the nail."
Moegi:Picking up her bag she pulled out a case from it, "It was nice meeting you too Juri-san. And it was no problem." Moegi grinned at her and waved as she started to put the ink, brush and paper in it carefully. That was interesting, even though she started her art classes at the university next week at least it was just one so far and she would be able to do things with Juri.
Juri: As her phone went off in her pocket, Juri jumped up. "Opps! he's here. Call me, Ok! we'll do something." She was all smiled as she hurried off towards the door. "It was great meeting you!" Her long legs carried her quickly from the room as she ran off to meet her manager.
