Not really an entry because there are lots of comments I haven't responded to yet...

...so I'd feel bad about writing a new entry proper before writing replies to those. Thus go my vague and unwritten rules about LiveJournalling, anyway. Christ knows what new guilt trips Facebook has in store for me ifwhen [sigh...] I eventually concede defeat and set up a profile thingy there, n'all. Even Tom Archer's on it these days, after ( Read more... )

Shocking as it might sound, I was looking for my Flickr for starters, but yeah, I figured that was prob'ly the case. I have vague intentions of getting my head around PieSpaceBook at some point, but for now I just wanted to inflict yet more comedy pictures of cats and bits of interesting cathedral upon the internet via Flickr (and read webcomics about OCDers and five year old toy otters). BAH.

HOORAY!
Branwell is so gorgeous. I do love tabbies, but he's just so elegant and symmetrical. Cats FTW!

I honestly never realised that I had such a soft spot for tabbies until the two trips I made to cat rehoming centres which ended in me going for Branwell, when I caught myself making a beeline for the enclosures w/ tabby kits above any of the other colours/patterns. Odd! My best beloved cat from childhood had been white and black, so I don't s'pose it can be a case of early prejudice... Hey ho. Anyway, I know I'm far from impartial, but I still think Branwell is the most beautiful cat I've known :-)

I don't know if it's entirely down to him and mah hammer, but the sites that weren't working for me yesterday are back up and running again today, behaving normally. Strange.

It did make me laugh when I walked into my bedroom and saw that, w/ a whole comfy double bed at his disposal, duvet and pillows and bolsters and all, he'd chosen to settle himself down in the one corner where I'd left a CLAW HAMMER...1

1 NB - I don't usually cuddle up of a night w/ my favourite tools (even though this particular hammer and I go back a long way, since DadFather Christmas put it in my stocking when I was about 8) - I'd been tacking some electrical cable against the skirting board earlier that day, and evidently hadn't quite finished tidying up after myself - oops!

Conclusive proof that you don't need an opposable thumb in order to use tools!

Er, maybe.
