I just did one of the stupidest things of my life

I swallowed my 14 gauge 3/4 inch long toungue ring (barbell) with one ball attached. I was eating and didn't notice it was coming out until it was too late. I called my retired nurse mom who said not to worry about it unless I have a problem.

So I now have an almost inch long piece of stainless surgical steel in my digestive tract.....this sucks....

Have I learned my lesson?
