Pretty much every D&D session I wail "why do I have so many d6's?!" I have remembered why -
timted was at one point threatening to run a
WEG Star Wars game, which, being d6 based, requires a LOT of d6's in at least two different colors.
IDK what put her off, perhaps it was my very enthusiastic "I HAVE SO MANY SOURCEBOOKS I MEMORIZED THEM ALL SO I WON'T NEED THEM DURING PLAY YOU CAN BORROW THEM DO YOU NEED A RULEBOOK I HAVE SECOND EDITION".
I perseverated on Star Wars for 20-something years, can you tell?
So, yeah, I have a billion red and blue d6's because I was planning on playing a Jedi. After a few levels, you need a VERY BIG dice pool. maybe I should get a separate dice bag just for those?
I understand
The Saga Edition from WotC fixed much of WEG's brokenness, especially surrounding how Jedi suck until they're so dominant everyone else is rendered useless. I haven't heard anything about
the latest iteration.
