bedlamsbard's Warsverse (Dust in the Air in particular) and everything rthstewart has ever done?
They are two 'verses wherein Last Battle doesn't happen, or at least doesn't happen that way, and I find them to be more psychologically realistic than canon, especially about the effect becoming literal Mandate of Heaven medieval warlords might have on nice children from Finchley, and what happens when you send those adults back to be children again.
