Why not bring your dirty dishes to the diner and steal dishwasher space? I get being too busy to clean your own place. But how can they afford a cleaning service?
Oh, Max, didn't you spend enough time cleaning up other people to know not to be mean to your service people? Paulina's pretty hardcore. Jeezus, Max is being a bitch today. I kind of hate this writer. Why is Max hiding her porn? I thought she didn't want them moving the mattress because it was full of weed. Poor Max. Doesn't know how to deal with wanting things.
The protracted Ke$ha joke is a couple seasons too late. Clearly Max isn't drunk yet, because she's not awesome. I get it. Nothing in Max's life has ever gone right, so why would she want to try something she might want or enjoy? Having that get screwed up or taken away would kill her. $3000 is pretty cheap even for vocational school these days. I don't see how it's do-able, though. The only reason the business is even halfway profitable is because they aren't paying rent on the shop (probably not utilities either).
Ugh, Caroline is the kind of pushy I can't stand. The AA in the admissions office is gold. Again. These writers with these tertiary characters! Probably because they can go OTT without having them around so much they get annoying. Bonjour, Nicholas. Beth's accent is appalling. This admissions test is ... not impressive. What's to stop them from buying one from an awesome bakery in the City?
Well, Max has the right attitude to be a chef. Maxdon (Gormax?) Ramsey. Look, pastry's hard. Picky, even. So what was wrong with the first nine shells? Are we going to see the return of the eclectic flavor palate from season 1? Remember when they were pitching Max's Homemade Cupcakes to Battlefield Earth in the new coffee shop and one of the flavors was chocolate curry? That was supposed to be their hook, what set them apart from the other jillion cupcake specialists. Apparently nothing does now.
Max has talent. A real gift. I wish we got to see more of that on the show. Stealing from Han is not even a joke anymore. Not that it was ever funny in the first place. Aw, poor Max. I hug you. So much.
