(no subject)
hello livejournal. haven't updated in quite a long time.
I'm in Illinois with my softball team. We've been here since Sunday... it's now thursday and we've only played two games. We lost. I am however officially a NCAA starting pitcher. crazy, eh? Division 2, but still... We lost. twice. terribleness. I did have a totally great practice today after our game was canceled. anyway, Katie's brother was there and he really helped me with my hitting. Widen the stance and choke up on the bat. hit the ball in zone and let it go.... seriously, I haven't been able to really hit the ball since freshman year of high school. we'll see what happens. I can't wait. Also, there was a pitching coach there which means that hopefully I can start working on that and perhaps become a decent pitcher.
IL sucks. I've never met more white trash people in my life. Seriously, the people in Logan's small hokeyville town of Plymouth, NE are more civilized than those in Springfield, IL. The accents are just horrendous. A man in camoflauge and blaze orange came into the hotel asking where he could park his RV. The lady said JcPEnny. They then had a conversation about how it's okay to park at Penny's, but those people at KMart and WalMart aren't as understanding and don't like it when you park your RV in their lots. So just so you know... yah, it's crazy.
Besides that, it's great. and boring.
Laura is on my phone talking to Ethan in Antigua. Whore.
LAst week, I was home. I student taught in the first grade calssroom for a week. It was super great. I totally loved it and can't wait to have my own classroom one day. Something is going on with Plitz tho and... I'm not really sure what's going on, but I worry. I just really hope that it's okay. Andrea stayed at my house last week. My mom is coming out to visit next week thursday... she'll watch a game and drive back to New Ulm with us. I'm really excited.
Okay, I'm so tired that I just want to crawl into bed after I take a ncie long shower, but I just can't because Laura is on my phone. in the bathroom. because I'm in a hotel room. I need to pack and stuff.
