Tidbits
Just a few things to talk about. I'm one quest away from getting my dreadsteed, I think. Whee!
My dad's applied to the position of Library Manager for McAllen. Right now he's been working as the Library Manager at Pharr, but if he gets the job, it'll be a step up from his current position. I think he's probably the best person for the job. He's already got experience working at the main library in McAllen, and he worked for a few years as the Lark Branch Library Manager, and his job over at Pharr had alot put on him, what with the city in the middle of expanding their library when he was hired and all. So unless they find someone who's been a manager at another library for 30 years or so, he'll probably be the one to get the position. Funny thing though, the Pharr City Commissioner, I think that's who it was, came to my dad's office the other day and told him that if McAllen did choose him for the job, he'd be willing to make a counter-offer to get my dad to stay in Pharr. That's some great job stability there, and it's almost a win-win situation for my dad. Woo!
One third of the way done with my essay, I think I got the hardest part done, so that's good.
