Want not..

So fucking annoyed right now. I am currently about $150 in debt to my bank. I'm sure most people know about that overdraft protection that most banks have, where if you take out more than what you have in your checking account, they'll deduct a small fee and use what you have in your savings account to cover the difference. Then there's the one that really hurts the poor people, 'cause it doesn't take the money from your savings account. Instead, it'll deduct $25 from your checking account, and then pay what you owe so you can still purchase things, but deduct that from your checking account. So basically you can purchase a $2.00 item even though you don't have any money in your checking account, and then owe the bank $27 because they were kind enough to not warn you that you don't have any money. This weekend brought the WoW fees for both Da and I because I'm still paying for Da, and then Sunday, being under the impression that I still had money because I couldn't check my account through the phone, I made two transactions not totalling more than $7.00. Wheee. Lovely. I don't know why I didn't ask them to remove that "courtesy" last time I was there, so it's pretty much all my fault that all this happened. But I also made a $70 purchase at the beginning of the month and that crippled me increadibly. Oh well. The only thing to do is suck it up and keep going. I'm getting paid tomorrow I believe, so I'll be out of debt then, but from then on I'm gonna be incapable of buying stuff just so this doesn't happen again.
On the lighter side of things, a few highlights of the weekend. Penny Arcade and Ctrl-Alt-Del have modified their websites to a newer sleaker look, so that's cool. Went camping this weekend at a place called Camp Karankawa. It was pretty nice, although we didn't get much leasure time. We took a couple hours at the Kennedy Museum which was really nice. They had some ok paintings about the history of Texas, and there was this really nicely done video about the ranchers who work cattle herding. Over at the camp we got to go canoeing out on the lake over there. Really nice, and I got to brush up on my canoeing skills. I ate a shitload that weekend. We only had 6 people eating with us ventures, but we had food for probably 8 or more. Lunch was sandwiches, and I made 7 or so of them. Dinner was frito pie, using those small personal sized bags. I had 8 bags with chili. Then in the morning, I had two squares of some delicious brownies and the leftovers of chili that we had. Damn, I was forcing it down by the end of it all. But I didn't get to that point you can get when you're at a buffet, so that was good. But my bladder felt like exploding in the middle of the night which was quite unpleasant.
I had fun hanging out with the venture though, getting to know Shanie and Aaron, another new member, better. Can't wait till next campout. We went to Whataburger on the way back, but I was still full from breakfast that I didn't eat much. Got home around 4:00.
Savannah called me up later on in the evening. I went over and we chatted for a bit and then watched the Boondock Saints. That was an awesome movie. About the middle of the movie she said she was hungry so we went and bought some oreos and milk and then went back to her dorm. She's become sick unfortunately. She's got medicine for it, but she said it'll take a couple of weeks for her system to recover even with the medicine so that sucks.
