Ode to Work
They travel in groups, to make it easier to get away with replacing anything wherever they want to.
They come in at constant intervals to keep one inside at all times.
They come in 30 minutes before we close so I can't finish closing up.
They come in right when I open so I can't finish closing up.
They come with no information, so they can search the shelves and open up all the shirts so that they are no longer neat and orderly.
They carry only 20 dollar bills because we are made out of ones.
They stay for long durations of time so that more can show up.
They speak spanish because we are located in Mexico.
My broken spanish can carry me only so far, but it's as if they have no regard for other languages. If you can't speak spanish, they're still going to go 90 words a minute and you have to hope you can keep up. You say poquito, and they understand it that you have the vocabulary of an elementary student, so of course you can understand every slurred word that comes out of their mouth.
Yeah, about 3 hours into my work day, I finally had enough time to finish everything that I needed to do. Joy. So now I'm waiting for Omar to get here so I can head on over and get together with Mayim so we can finish our project for UNIV. We've a presentation today, and all we have to do is go over our powerpoint and see how we're gonna go through it all.
I went to my second Venture meeting in quite awhile last night. It was the first time I actually felt excited about getting into camping. I just feel re-energized about it all, and I can't wait to chill out with my old friends and a couple new one's that joined on our camping trip next weekend.
Gonna go ghost hunting this weekend, can't wait.
