Fights and Fires
So I found out today, that the other kid who works at the scout shop as well is finally being fired. Well, my boss didn't exactly say that, he insinuated everything though. Asked Omar and I if we'd be able to hold all the shifts for a few weeks, until the end of August at least, but he wasn't imposing on us to do so. So yeah, not that I don't like the guy, I hardly even know him in fact, just talk to him in passing when we're making shift changes. But from what we've seen and heard, he's either really lazy with money, or he can't count very well, or.. Well, that's a harsh accusation..
It's not just that, but I think that was a major reason for this. All I'm saying, is that it's pretty bad when you get fired from the Boy Scouts.. Probably gives you a bad reputation I'd say.
Anyways, Thursday.. What happened Thursday.. Hmm, not much I don't think. Anything that happened escapes me at the moment. Friday however, I think we played WoW for a bit. But Da went to visit his dad, so Mario and I went home from school and played. Oh, we went to Taste of India too. Haven't had Indian food since England. Have a friend, Lucian, who's crazy about the stuff, and he introduced me to it all. But I was kinda dissapointed with it all when we went. It was during lunch, and apparently they are only a buffet at that time. It's a very meager lunch, with only two mains, and slightly burnt nan that feels more like tortillas that the delicious bread that we had in England. But the food was still good. Lucian says that it's all better at dinner, although quite pricy. About the same we payed over in England actually, heh. There was this girl there working as a waitress. She was kinda cute. I'd go back for her, heh.
Saturday I spent playing a bit of WoW and a bit of work outside with my dad. Got a bit done, so that was good. Went at around 7:00 to Frank's house to watch some movies. Monica, Lucian, Amy and her boyfriend went, and we watched Cellular, which was kinda funny and good but with it's stupid movie plot flaws, and then we watched The Exorcist. Wasn't that great of a movie, and I know that things like that were more outrageous back when the movie came out, but watching the movie, I was more bored by it all than anything. Wasn't too scary, but I think that's because I have a different view of demons, a much more gruesome image that what was portrayed, although I do expect them to be so vulgar as was displayed in the Exorcist movies. Also, it was really crappy when both of the priests died. We ate pizza, and Monica made a delicious cake with strawberry topping that was so delicious. It was fun.
Sunday, I woke up, and feared going to church a bit. Not actually feared it, but I was tired, and I didn't want to get up at the time. But it seemed that either everyone else woke up late, or it had been planned to go later on. Mom and Dad highered a worker to help out in the yard, as mostly my dad and him worked on cleaning up the yard and moving this tree from one point to another. I helped out a bit, but I eventually went inside and just started playing WoW, for most of the day after that. Unfortunately we never did go to church, for the 12:00 mass. But I did get to lvl 44 in WoW. I played a shitload yesterday, almost as much as Da normally does.
Woke up late today and got to school 20 to 30 minutes late. Oh well. He was going over the test from Friday, so I didn't miss too much. Probably just started talking about the lesson when I got in. Turns out I got a 91 on my test, to which Mario became angry at because he got a 90. Ha.
My dad wants to take us to Mexico this weekend with our grandpa, his dad, to see a cock fight. Gonna be so cool. I have wanted to see one for several years now, and we're gonna go finally. I think it's because Dad's birthday is somewhere around this time, so he wants to do something a bit special. But yeah, gonna go watch some birds go at it to the death.
