"I'm starting with the man in the mirror,
I'm asking him to change his ways"

Something really special to whomever gets the artist of that up above. Woke up really early today, so I'm a bit tired right now. Had to book it over to Camp Perry to help out the troop finish setting up camp. Went home and played some WoW afterwards, and then worked a bit on the comic before going to pick up Da and take him home. He's gonna be leaving tomorrow to Washington for this business thing that his mom signed him up for.
I was feeling a bit depressed yesterday. I guess it's 'cause the house was so empty. We had left Danny over at camp, and my parents and sister had gone off to New Mexico, a fact I had wanted to write about in the journal when it happened, but I'm too lazy when I'm not at work. So yeah, I guess I was feeling lonely or something, but I got over it.
Last night I watched Stigmata. It's not a very good movie, I was disapointed. Example given: In order to express the scourging of Christ, they set the scene in a tumbling metro car where the main character, a sinning athiest who has no reason to be a main character of the movie (but then again, if they stray from the flock, He shall pursue after to bring them back), grabs hold of the hand rails at the top of the car, to signify that she's being held against her will, and then the scourging starts. I don't know, alot of the scenes in the movie were just really corny. Then that whole conspiracy with the church about keeping the extra gospel from the masses is really bad. That saying "split wood and you will find me, lift a rock and you will find me," it's supposed to be Jesus saying it, however these are places where you find filth, insects and worms, and this is a common place where Satan is supposed to hide. I'd have to say that it's these kinds of movies that affect people with Mario's disposition to religion, telling them that it's ok to not go to church so long as you believe in God. But where are you supposed to learn about what Jesus and God have to say, about how you should live your life like God wants you? Do you set aside an hour of your life at least every week to read the bible, to contemplate it's mystery? How about visiting any Cristian websites to read what they have to say, or forums to discuss gospel and the writings of the Bible? Sure, the church is not the same thing as Christ himself, but the church is the next best thing, aside from the Bible.
I'm reading the gospel that Stigmata was based around. The gospel of Thomas, the apostle who doubted Jesus until he had firm proof of his resurrection. The whole thing is pretty wierd, doesn't make much sense. It could just be terrible translation, but how do you make sense of such as this:

'Jesus said to them, "When you make the two into one, and when you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner, and the upper like the lower, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image, then you will enter [the kingdom]."'

However this one is quite interresting:

'Jesus said, "Lucky is the lion that the human will eat, so that the lion becomes human. And foul is the human that the lion will eat, and the lion still will become human."'
Looks to me like that means that animals become humans after they die, something like Mario and I were discussing about animals having souls and such. We, well, Mario had considered that animals were perhaps a holding station for souls until they went into human bodies. He also theorized that animals were souls that chose not to become human because of the world they would grow up in, which is a bad theory. I don't wish to go into it because I'm hungry.
So on topic with my topic statement. I have intended for a while to start doing numerous things. One, I want to start running again, which means I have to wake up early. As well, I need to start spending more time working on the comic if we want it to come out eventually. And I've also got to keep my programming and flash skills up to snuff if I want to get any better at them. All this means I have to be less lazy, which is a big turnaround for me. Ha.
So yeah, I've been having tons of phone calls today at work, kinda annoying.
