I don't know what percentage of my people population knows this, but I officially have my apartment down in Orlando. I move in August 17th. So awesome! Along with that apartment came a $500 Visa Gift Card just for signing a lease. Hooray! Free money! (well, technically not if you really think about it...but then that takes all the fun away). Anyways. Today Grandma took me to Target to get stuffs for my awesome new apartment. This is what we got:
*Desk Lamp
*Bed-in-a-bag <--comes with everything; it's polka dots :P
*Two storage bins for under my bed
*Floor lamp <---One top lamp with three snake neck lights around it
*Some plates and bowls <---they're blue and the bowls and plates are in a set of 6, and they were like...$4 total! Couldn't pass that up!
*A monkey and tree salt and pepper shaker <---also too cute to pass up
*Toothbrush holder
*Two towels, two washcloths, and a hand towel
*A desk file organizer
*A pot <---since I'm a macaroni and cheese/Ramen chef
*Wastebasket for my room
*Silverware set <---also pretty cheap so I snagged it while I could
If you ask me, that was a pretty decent dent that I put into my apartment "List of things to get." Now these are the things that are on the list TO GET.
*Wastebasket for bathroom <---might make the roommates chip in for that since I've gotten some silverware and plates and stuffs
*Power surges
*Mattress feather bed <---makes the bed more comfortable
*Pillows
*Some more cookware <---again, may have the roommates get some of that stuff
*Laundry Hamper
*Some more storage stuff
*Maybe a bike
That pretty much covers it. Anything else anyone would suggest? I'd really really like a bike so I can just ride it to school. Save gas, avoid traffic, be green. The cool stuff. Also, the exercise part is nice. :) I found a really nice bike on Target.com that is like, $128...but my grandmother told me just to take one of the bikes she has here. v_v One is super old and doesn't even have gears and I think the other one is too small for me. We'll see. Maybe I'll have enough left on my gift card to get a bike. :) Ah! I'm so excited!
Calculus is going okay. I have my second test on Wednesday and it deals with derivatives (which isn't terrible) and also, implicit differentiation....which, I really can't remember what that is. We also have this section that deals with some crazy stuff that I can't understand. Hopefully I figure it out by Wednesday. I got an 86% on my first test, which I was so excited about! That's so like an A to me. :P I should probably get more of that homework done. Our graded homework is due on Monday and I haven't started it. I hope I don't have any trouble with it because I can't really go see my teacher about it. Oh well.
