What inspires you?
What inspires anybody?

We all are inspired by something. Whether it is money, religion, power, sex, music, art, war, peace, there is something out there that inspires you and me. We cannot live without inspiration. You get the point. This doesn't need further investigation.

Many of you know that I have always been strongly inspired by uniquity. It was my buddy icon, I would write it on my arms, I would lecture on it for hours if someone would sit long enough. I believed that was what I lived for. I was wrong. Lately I have come to realize that I don't care about uniquity nearly as much as I care about people. Yes, you, whoever you are. You're beautiful.

Today, I was at the movie theater and I couldn't stop looking at people. I felt as though the veil of myself had been ripped from my eyes, and there they were in front of me. There was Ashtin: lively, energetic, and all in all just fun to be with. There was Victoria: sweet, kind, and joyful. Last, but not least, there was Shane: funny, deep, and an awesome storyteller. That was just the group I was with. From there I began to examine the people around me. There was one guy who was throwing cards up in the air, there was another who was sitting on a trash can talking to a friend, one gentleman was walking to the theater buttoning his shirt, and one lady was going in and out of the theater looking for someone. All of these people had stories, and I would never know everything about any of them.

I want to meet you, all of you. I want to know your stories, your favorite books, what makes you tick, what you love. I want to be a part of your lives, watch you laugh, and be there for you when you cry. I want to see past the stereotypes, and past the masks.

Hello, my name is Sarah. What's yours?

P.S. I highly recommend everyone does an inspiration post. It really helps you see yourself without personal bias. Give it a shot, and if you post it somewhere, send me a link. If you don't have an LJ my email is: vgirl250@yahoo.com
