Inspired by
theotherdibbler's Big Sky Country post from a while back, some Dutch big skies.
Forgive the quality; my camera doesn't do well with head-on light and it automatically focuses on the first thing in sight unless I go through a lot of hoopla.
This is in the vicinity of Utrecht, in pretty much the centre of the Netherlands, and which is not quite part of the big 'Randstad', the western nexus of big cities, but still one of the most densely populated areas in the country. Even so, as tiny as we are, as many people live in an area the size of the distance between Canberra and Sydney* squared, we still get a whole lot of empty in parts.
*See? Party fun-fact!
