Yesterday, mom made me vacuum out the van in the afternoon, when I started, I saw something out of the corner of my eye, turned, and it was Rachel and Ari and Evan. First time I'd seen them since the bonfire, though it seemed like another lifetime. I was kind of in a daze the whole time they were over, it was just weird seeing them again. It had only been about two weeks, but felt like so much longer. Did Mexico really change me that much? or did I just change? But seriously, it was weird. Felt like I was looking back at a totally different lifetime.
And this morning was freshman kidnapping. Another PCOM tradition, lol. I woke up at five, had to be at the church at six, and we had four leaders driving, plus had to have a girl and a guy in each car, as Gitch didn't think parents would be thrilled by guys in a sleeping girl's room and vice versa. Jacqueline was the most fun for me to wake up. I went in her room, shook her and yelled "EARTHQUAKE" and she flipped. She snapped awake and grabbed my arm, looking about ready to kill me, then noticed that I was not Allie. When we got to the bagel place, we were the first ones there, then Goose called Andy and told him they'd gotten lost or fallen behind or something and gave directions for us to go get someone else, though they didn't say who. When we got to the street, I noticed it was Christina. And this was about the first thing she's done with the PCOM youth group. Her mom opens the door, looks at all of us, and goes "at least I know one of you... come on in, up the stairs, last door on the left". Christina was a tad bit freaked when Jacqueline and I invaded :-P. When she came downstairs, she kinda glared at her mom while putting on her shoes, her mom just looked back, finally just saying, "well, you're the one who signed up for youth group" I was supremely amused. When we got back to the bagel place, we saw amy, who mom had gotten all decked out as they were supposed to wear black or camouflage, and just burst out laughing. The first thing she said to us was "Christina, I need your jacket." Not even a hi or anything :-P. And then we went to the rock climbing place... then to In 'N Out for lunch... and then home. That was fun. And tiring. I still can't believe Jacqueline nearly killed me. But then if I had a sister like Allie (which I thank God I don't, babysitting her once was more than enough...) I probably would have done the same thing to me. But today was SO worth getting up at five am for :-P
