Over the Rhine is my favorite band. Has been since not long after I was introduced to them in 1999. They are reputed to put on an amazing live performance. I have never seen them live. Since I have been away from Ohio and Michigan that has really grated on me. Especially after they put on a show less than 10 miles from my house in a tiny little town which I had never heard of hosting a concert (and which, on a cool fall evening would have been the perfect setting for them.) You may remember me trying to prod someone into going to that show so that I could live vicariously through them. They have a long-standing tradition of holiday performances and here is this year's schedule:

Half a dozen of these would be accessible if I were home. Little Brothers is in the Short North, where my brother and a number of our mutual friends hang out on a regular basis. Three days later they are at the Knick. I worked there damn it! I want to go... =(
