In response to Miss Peri, I too greatly miss the weekly show-thing.
I don't think we should have to go all the way to kingston or NH just to get some crappy live music, that's so crappy its good,that was so boring it was fun, that forced many a fun time to be invented (i.e. 'Let's go for a drive!' 'Oh my God! Janine stay in the car!').
I feel like those shows played such a big part in my memories over the past few years, and I would really like them back.
(Sidenote: Stop fucking it up and making it impossible to be trusted at cheap nationality-club venues! You know who you are!)
But yeah. I miss those times. It was like we were all a part of some secret something that only kids that were involved could understand. Only the insiders ever stayed long enough to have fun. Only the kids that had been there week after week to support bands that we didn't even like, but knew every word to every song, only to go home and trash them, really had fun.
Sons of Italy, Polish Clubs everywhere, we're sorry. Take us back.
