State of the Pups & December Planning
This post is as much for my reference as it is for planning and suggestions from you. As many of you know, I prefer to have at least a loose idea of where I'm going with my pups, and I agree that it would be a real shame (and all too easy) to let December pass without doing enough with the opportunity, so please throw all your ideas my way.
The lyrics/songs are representative of where the pup is now, in my head. I tend to think musically. I know it's weird. XD
SHARI COOPER | Wish I knew what you were looking for, might have known what you would find;
Shari's definitely one I think will get a lot of mileage in December (not that she doesn't normally). Even though she just had that big item post, I have very specific places I am going with her, so she's getting another EP in December, for mistletoe shenanigans. I feel like she's finally at a place where it could mean something to her rather than just be an embarrassment and something she immediately strives to forget. So, hot dudes who flirt with her (and hot dudes who don't), I hope to see you there. I'm going to do a time loop for her as a sort of coda to the arc she's on now, most likely in January. It's going to be seriously traumatic for whomever goes with her, but it's important.
SIRIUS BLACK | Tides that I tried to swim against have brought me down upon my knees;
Sirius' birthday post was a bit slow to get started, but I'm going to be working on that in earnest over the next several days, just trying to pin down precisely where he's at. He's feeling exceptionally nostalgic of late, and I think that being in London is going to hit him fairly hard. Being there and not having magic will probably be akin to torture and I suspect he'll be quite twitchy. I am however, going to finally be looking to get him out and about and interacting with people again. I think he's finally ready.
PEPPER POTTS | It's the last piece of the puzzle but you just can't make it fit;
I am horrid about EPing Pepper. I always have been, but this year has been especially bad, as her last was in February. Granted, she's had top-levels at various parties, it isn't as if she's been utterly unavailable all this time, but it's something I need to work on. Next year will be easier because I will have significant plot pushing her rather than, like…laundry. December will likely be fairly subdued, as I expect it will be for Tony and Peter as well. These three know as well as anyone that all the magic and snow is the calm before the Worst Month Ever. January will be massive for Pepper, so I'm going to let her chill and be a bit antsy in December, I think, although I know she'll take to the fashion and lifestyle like a fish to water.
CALIBAN LEANDROS | Work in a shirt with your name tag on it, drifting apart like a plate tectonic;
Cal is getting an EP tonight. He'll be working at the Hub, and this is your last opportunity to thread with him before the amnesia. His Nepenthe spider item was approved, so I'd like to get that threaded out next week, if Sarah's able to give me Dean for it. After that he will have another EP with all of his memories gone. This will last a few weeks. He will not know that he's not a(n extremely surly and dangerous) Victorian gentleman, so it should be fun.
LUX CASSIDY | We may be on this road but we're just imposters in this country, you know;
Lux is currently dealing with Bruce's arrival and everything that goes along with that, but the big news is that she's losing Baze at the end of this month. As a result, she'll be pretty subdued in December with pretty much everyone, although she may be harder on Bruce. I would feel bad about this if it was anyone else. XD Anyway, she'll mostly be coping and probably won't be out much.
CLARK KENT | I guess you never know what you got 'til it's gone, I guess this is why I'm here and can't come back home;
Clark's had a busy month, and I'm really pleased about that. I'd planned on giving him an EP this week for Thanksgiving, but the speeches sort of ate that up. The past year he's been in a bit of denial about his circumstances, but slowly but surely he's having to face the reality. He's been carrying Lois' engagement ring around with him, but he can't get past how patently wrong it feels to him to have a wedding without his mother or Chloe or Oliver. Being back in a city is going to hit him hard, I think, even if it's London instead of Metropolis. Hopefully we'll have Chloe soon, though, so she can help him through some of this. I'm not sure how much he's going to budge on the wedding thing, although he might propose an extended engagement until he can get around this. He can just be so stubborn about things like this; they have to be just right or not at all. In other news: Batman! :D
TONY STONEM | Now I'm inspired and open to being in a love place, but it's out of my hands;
Tony, Tony, Tony. Okay, so, this was a bad, bad month. Billy and Maxxie left Tony on the same day, and neither of them did it because of anything he did, which is really the worst, because Tony so desperately needs to feel he's in control. He's officially broken, and I mean that in a literal sense; his mind isn't equipped to process this and he's been a bit mad, going through the stages of grief, worrying his sister. But ultimately I think it's good, because it's very difficult for him to grow without extreme loss. He and Chris are throwing a party (at Lambeth Palace, I think?) on the 9th, wherein Tony will be doing some extremely self-destructive things, and then Tony will be getting an "acceptance" EP a couple of days later. So, you'll have an opportunity for both crazy Tony and zen Tony.
JANE FOSTER | Everything looks perfect from far away, "Come down now," but we'll stay;
Jane had an eventful month, still playing most of that out. FOR THE RECORD, because I have caught wind of some confusion: Tony's portal is NOT something he made happen and it did not lead to a legit alternate universe. The ISLAND did it, just like the Island did for Wonderland Plot way back in the day. This plot was a call back to that plot that just happened to utilize equipment conveniently left by a previous plot. ANYONE could submit a plot like this at any time. Okay? Okay. Anyway, Jane will hopefully finally get somewhere with her boyfriend next month, and will also hopefully be cockblocked by Loki. We've got some tentative stuff planned for the new year, but that's it for now.
FREDDIE MCLAIR | I want to reconcile the violence in your heart / I want to recognize your beauty's not just a mask;
Per normal, most of Freddie's current plot hinges on Effy and Cook. He's got this idea of how he wants things to be, but he's naturally running up against walls because, well. After everything that's happened to him, he doesn't quite parse it as having his cake and eating it, too. He just thinks it's what they all need. Anyway, I have no real plans for him for December aside from continuing to make him new friends.
LIONEL TRANE | Maybe I'm in the black, maybe I'm on my knees, maybe I'm in the gap between the two trapezes;
Lionel's doing well, he had a good couple of months. Maxxie and Marshall getting together hit him harder than he'll in any way let on, but he's used to being rejected by Marshall, so he's resigned to it. He met Craig, which will probably produce some extremely ill-advised moments, and he's still attached to Jon. Kat and I need to reconcile him and Maxxie enough that they can get started casting Rocky Horror. Also, he has a top-level in the TR Day post, so you're welcome to tag him. I'm sure he'll be at the party on the 9th, and he will definitely love being all Victorian.
PETER PEVENSIE | I try to stay awake and remember my name, but everybody's changing and I don't feel the same;
Peter will debut on the 1st, but this will be private with Edmund. He'll have an EP later in the month, although I'm not 100% on the timing due to having other plot going on early in the month (namely Caliban). He will, however, be completely available for private threads, so let me know if you'd rather not wait for the public EP. (I'm looking at you, Jon Snow.)
