I havent had time to update my journal because i have been very busy with family problems and working. i went to a psychward to visit a friend yesterday. it was just like the movies. the long white hallways with flickering lights, windows with the fishnet texture to them, a courtyard that had glassblocks built to seperate the 5story railing from area, it also had vines growing up the brickwalls and iron chairs and tables. some of the nurses had respect for the people in there, and other nurses were too busy filing their nails to notice. i was raised to be a very openminded person, and to never judge. and the first time in my life i feel like i judged people, each time a patient would walk by me i would tense up and get really nervous. as i was sitting, one lady named Lynda came and sat by me. i tried not to make eye contact to avoid conversation, but she started to talk to me, she had a bandaid on her nose. the first thing she talked about was why she was wearing it. she told me she had a nosering in and she fell on her face and the nose ring got jammed. i wasnt quite sure about believing her cause of the enviorment we were in, but she then took off her bandaid and showed me that the nosering was still in and had a huge bump like it was infected. she told me the doctors wouldnt let her pull it out. after i told her to try using a magnet to pull it out, she said she would try that since no tweezers were allowed. she told me all about her twin brother who was murdered in seattle and thrown into lake washington (or some sort of water/lake area) with bricks tied to his feet and thats why it was hard to find him. she told me that she had a dream she was under 160feet deep water swimming..and when she woke up she got a phone call saying his twin was killed. she took off her wig and showed me her brain surgery scars, she said she died during surgery and saw heaven and angels were talking to her and she saw her parents, but she wasnt able to talk back so she knew it wasnt her time to go yet and god had given her a second chance. she woke up after a 3 week coma. she also told me she was in the psychward for threating to kill her landlord for cutting up her 196$ food stamps. it was very interesting and a learning experience.
i just finshed reading "the coma" (the same guy who write 28 days later and the beach wrote it) it was good.
p.s.talking shit about me because youre jealous that a guy liked me over you is sad. nobody is going to stop being my friend over your jealously issues, but nice try. dont think for one second that they didnt tell me what you said, it makes me feel so good to know that i came out of this on top.
