Title: Feels like Need
Note: Based on a quote prompt at
sunday_reveries. Zoe and John and mentions of Zoe's mother.
I wish I had a roof over my bed to pull down on my head when I feel damned by wanting you so much it looks like need.

I know I've said this before but part of why I love Zoe so much is she's got this quiet, calm air about her with strength in her inner core. She is so different from your other female characters that I've interacted with. I love characters that can be strong without being brash or loud about it. It makes it all the more powerful, in some way.
THAT SAID, I also love this glimpse into her past and how you can just as;ldka waugh relate to that, in a way. Parents/childhoods shape up a lot of who we are and how we react to others and form relationships with them.
The line about people leaving on your table at breakfast broke my heart.
I think it's made all the more poignant because John did leave but it wasn't by choice. AND ANOTHER REASON I LOVE THREADING HER, with all my kids, actually, is everything written in this piece I can just--I can really feel it when you write her. I can feel how much she loves John and Lena and the Crowbar and in turn how easy it is for them to love her back. It's beautiful.
I'M SO GLAD SUNDAY_REVERIES INSPIRED THIS. :>>>>> /POUNCES
