had every intention of buying, "star trek," on blu ray last night, only to find it sold out, so i settled a measly five bucks on, "the terminator," blu ray. now, i find myself on amazon picking up, "judgement day," and, "salvation," on blu ray.
i dismiss, "rise of the machines," because a) i have it on dvd, and b) i don't even like the dvd copy i got, let alone having zero desire to own it on blu ray.
"salvation," i really didn't like my first go around. it was better than three for sure, but it had something that stuck in my craw. maybe it was christian bale's portrayal of john connor that somehow heavily resembled his batman, i don't know, but when i saw it on dvd months later, it had this charm that i hadn't seen before the first time, and thus inducted it into my collection.
"judgement day," still remains at the top as not only my favorite of the series, but probably my favorite action movie of all time followed closely by, "aliens," "die hard," and, "robocop."
and with only two days left of my vacation, i have one plan, and one plan only... watch as many movies as i possibly can. today i will start off with, "from russia with love."
...oh, also, got to see terry gillam's latest, "the imaginarium of doctor parnassus," which, if you find yourself with an opportunity to view, i highly recommend you do so. it's magnificent.
