i've decided to keep track of the stuff i listen to on my ipod during a given work day, so, here goes... you try!
-the littlest man band: better book ends [scott klopfenstein from reel big fish, had a side band called, the littlest man band, and only put out one album, and it's easily one of the best albums i've ever heard... not sure what i'd call it musically, as it has a horn section, but is definitely not ska... just really fucking good.]
-grand master flash: the bridge [the flash is back with a new album that's... okay. not nearly as good as his older stuff, and yes, "the message," but not bad... too modern though for my tastes...]
-henry rollins: think tank [classic rollins spoken word... probably his most personal and intimate album, at least to me... very hysterical, and very honest look at a man i was fortunate enough to meet and get to know, if for only an hour...]
-guns n' roses: chinese democracy [this album, begrudgingly i admit, is really fucking good. i truly wanted to hate this record in every form, but cannot... axel... you've won my heart sir with a good fucking record...]
-jimmie's chicken shack: bring your own stereo [i have every j.c.s. album to date, and the reason i put this one on, is it had been years since i had heard it, and it still holds well today after all this time, much like all of jimi davie's album's do... each j.c.s. album sound different, but all are fucking stellar in lyrical and musical content. plagued only by a goofy name...]
