Oh my God THANK YOU FOR THIS. I've been feeling bummed since yesterday's game and this was exactly what I needed right now! Just, wow. There was kinda an edge to it but by the end it was soooo cute and sweet and now I'm smiling inside. :)

And awwwww! Villa taking care of Messi.I particularly love their little exchange at the end, when Messi realizes that Villa's hair dried funny because he was too busy looking after him, and their little kinda sorta argument. (Which of course Messi totally won ;) )

And also, just wanted to say I think you got Messi's expectations of himself down reeeally well. :)

hi, you're my favorite and this is perfect. i really don't know what to say cause i'm a shit commenter, but i loved this. you've got the sleepy feel down so well, the lack of appropriate detail and waking up and not knowing how you got there and everything. and how leo wishes for the bench and for the game to be over and for him to be home-- you KNOW he'd never think those things unless something wasn't right. and i like that it wasn't injury or illness or anything like that-- just leo, having done too much and his body and mind not being able to keep up, but it doesn't matter and he keeps pushing and pushing because he's so certain that's what people want from him. and there were some really, really beautiful lines and imagery, too. guhhh i just love this.
