but his smile is so wide Gonzalo doesn’t really care what the ball says, because he’ll remember that more than anything. ugh this is just perfect. i love how pipita's ~longing is there, even before he really realizes what it is.
But Eze isn’t here. Gonzalo thinks of calling him, but it’s late in Portugal and Eze has a different life now, maybe. One without Gonzalo, at least. no, seriously, just stomp all over my already broken heart. go right ahead.
But he only lets himself reach out and lay a hand across Leo's back, fingers notching between the ridges of his spine. Leo just lays his head down on his hands on the floor and they stay there, still and quiet. i just love the words you chose for this. love it. the ridges of his spine. ahhhh perfecto.
your leo is great, too. he's kind of like, your own version of leo, because no one else really writes him the way that you do, quiet but not shy, interior but not alienating. your leo has a voice that is definitely uniquely you. love how he comes across as quiet even when you don't mention that he's speaking softly or whatever.
