Okay, I rewatched this scene and now I see what you're say about Nate and the way he was acting. When I first watched this episode last night the main feeling I had about that last scene was complete and utter shock. We've seen Eli and Nate argue before, but nothing at all like this. When Nate told Eli that he is worse than their father, my jaw dropped and I made some sort of incoherent noise of shock. I don't know what the noise was, but it could've definitely been translated as "Holy crap! He did NOT just say that!" I still think he was being a jerk, but not without very, very good reason.
And yes, the petrified look, along with Eli still trying to get Nate to forgive him, just gave me a total emotional ass kicking. I also loved Daddy!Nate. The big smile on his face was just so adorable. It was one of the few lighter moments in this episode, so I enjoyed it for that too. I really hope that since Eli Stone is ending, that Jonny Lee Miller and Matt Letscher find another project to work together. A movie, another series, I don't really care what. Heck, I think they could do a dramatic reading of a phone book and I'd still watch it, if it was the two of them. LOL
