My weekend, fyi...

Saturday
Contrary to popular belief my Saturday was quite insanely busy. I was up at the crack of dawn to get a train with Dad. North Sydney TAFE was holding an info session for the Cert IV in Screen course I've been looking at so I thought I should go along and check it out.

Afterwards, we were collected by Mum and then had to drop my sister and her husband at the airport. By this time it was late afternoon and I still hadn't even started birthday shopping (for myself) with Mum and Dad. Zipped out to Westfield Bondi. Pointless excercise.

Stopped in Paddington on the way back home. Not only, did Michelle Leslie (that model that got done for drugs in Indonesia recently) walk into General Pants Co. where I was shopping, but I struck gold and returned to the car armed with
* Tsubis, bright electric blue... super hot.
* Camp jacket from Ben Sherman.
* Variety of products from Lush.

$250 down, $250 to go...

See these...

...?

Yes no look well they're fucking hot as and I'm getting them shipped to me from the UK. For only AUD$100 including shipping costs... fucking bargain! Unfortunately I do have to wait 2 weeks though hmph!

$350 down, $150 to go...

By this time it was getting late in the evening and Mum was getting tired so we returned home. As much as I would have loved to catch up with my friends while I was down... it just wasn't possible, especially with Mum and Dad around and then also considering paraphenalia etc.

Sunday
And so I woke up and jumped the next train back to the city... LoL. I arrived, but no one was answering their phones or had responded to sms (presumed all were asleep). Had hoped to catch up with a couple people before heading to Mitch and Amanda's new place but low and behold it's kind of hard when you can't get in touch with anyone.

Anyways, spent the afternoon/evening/night with Mitch and Amanda... major d&ms.com !! It's funny how much you show people, and learn about people when everyone feels comfortable enough to let their guard down. Later on Mitch decided he wasn't coming out so Amanda and I pranced our way up Oxford St. I ran into Jake outside Starbuck's who advised me it wasn't wise for me to go upstairs to visit my best friend et al. Why? Apparently my presence at that stage wouldn't exactly be welcomed. Right, so someone had the shits with me. Lovely start to the night!

Didn't stay at Arq for long after arriving. Sorry Jakey! But yeah I guess you could say I wasn't in the mood. Cabbed it back to Mitch's and ended up just lazing about watching a DVD and continuing our mama chats from earlier on. Was actually one of the most relaxing and enjoyable night's I've had in a while. I actually quite enjoyed spending the night in and not staying out all night at the club. This is good for B-Star!

Monday
Didn't get up till heaps late. Mitch, Amanda and I trampsed around the city to collect knick knacks and gorgeous things from their estate agent. I had thought I might have heard from the friends I missed yesterday so we could catch up but alas, this did not happen. And still no word on why I was in the shit! Strange indeed.

Can't really remember where the day got to actually? It was just a blur of music and conversation... we seriously just talked and talked and talked for hours on end. Suddenly it was 8pm and I had to race to the station to get the train home. Big fights with Mum and Dad when I got here, but what else is new really?

Decisions
Apparently I'm required to make a decision on my application for two different Film courses today, when I wake up. I do not think this will happen... No sorry I'll rephrase, I KNOW this will not happen. Why, you ask? The TAFE Info Session at North Sydney on Saturday was a joke. I cannot be expected to have even a remote inkling of a creative spark or artistic flair in such an awful study/work environment. I mean, their crumbling excuse for a studio had pretty much been modelled directly off a dodgy independent film maker's backyard tin shed studio with Grandma's old curtains lining the walls. It got better though... the lighting was ancient, the building wasn't even properly sound proofed or equipped, AND to add injury to insult the cameras and editing equipment were all so ancient that they might as well been running purely off the peddling power of Fred Flinstone. I don't know why or how I convinced myself that it might actually have been a decent course!

Okay so I've decided not to do the TAFE course for obvious reasons and all the private college courses I looked at are super exceedingly expensive so they're all out of the picture. I still want to do a Bachelor of Arts in Communications (Media Arts and Production)... aka film... at UTS. As they do not have a mid-year intake, for now it looks like working is my only option until the new year. I still have debts to pay off so it'll be a good opportunity to clear them before I launch into full time study.

Mother feels I should apply for Centrelink benefits in the meantime, being unemployed (by choice) and all. I think not. Reason? Benigan a few months back tried, and got the benefits, but only after about 6 different interviews, 18 trips to Centrelink and countless screaming matches with Centrelink staff. I'd rather apply for jobs and go for interviews than be put through that hell. And so today, again when I wake up, I'll start trawling through the Seek.com.au pages in search of employment. I say now that I refuse to work in a call centre but it's bound to happen anyway as they pay well and I have extensive experience.

Living with the parentals, whilst it has some benefits, is not for me. Once I have a job I need to find myself a nice little one bedroom apartment or studio. Preferably in Darlinghurst, Paddington, Surry Hills areas. Rent is so fucking expensive though, and that's before we factor in my expensive tastes! Bah!! Don't really fancy living with anyone else at the moment... craving my own space that I can run a muck in without having to worry about pissing off housemates etc.

Alas, the Novel has ended.
Play safe.
Love B-Star._xx
