Cigarettes
So yesterday was a very important day in the life of cigarettes for me yesterday for some reason they were EVERYWHERE and I came up with a few thoughts that I'd like to share with those of you who actually read my LJ.
First of all, I saw this older lady who taught one of my Psychology classes a few years ago taking a smoke break yesterday. For some reason watching her light up that little cancer stick really bothered me. I just wanted to scream in her face "STOP THAT! YOUR OLD AND CLOSE TO DYING ANYWAY!". Seriously though, you would think an older, and EDUCATED person whould be somewhat conscience of their health and for some reason I always think of teachers as role models and smoking (at least in my house thanks to my mother, is often compared to the devil lol) doesn't seem like something most people would SUGGEST to somebody who looks up to them. (wow I'm sorry this post is totally gonna get me castrated from all my friends who smoke)
Second weird thing: I was sitting down in Prospector eating my Chic-fil-a, and their was this black guy talking about some girl that he always sees at the mall who's there when people are giving FREE PACKS OF CIGARETTES. Okay, I dunno but the thought of like FREE CANCER just sorta buggs me. Before everybody goes on about me being some enraged stupid liberal, I'm gonna go ahead and say that I can think for myself and that I don't just watch truth commericals, bitch. Anyway, yeah so the whole concept of free cigarettes just irritates the shit out of me. Cuz it's like a way to try and get people who DON'T smoke to smoke, and yeah their trying to make money and whatever I can understand that from a buisness perspective but how can you as a human being try to get somebody to do something it pretty dangerious to their health for the sake of putting money in your pocket and not wanna kill yourself when you go home at night?
Anyway, I'm done and yeah have enraged stupid hippie flower child moments, my bad....bite me.
