Another horse has died in agony in Victoria in a "jumps race" the modern euphemism for steeplchasing.

Steeplechasing is a relic of the days of bare-knuckle boxing and bear baiting.
Perhaps if Racing Victoria wishes to properly wallow in Dickensian excess, those two spectacles could be dragged out of the historical horrors wax museum display and added to the family fun.
