late

vicious keys
can not open the deepest
secrets of me

sonnets of trees
sung by multitudes of
limb and leave

bitter cuts expose
the clockwork of you
from the tick of your watch

IT'S MUCH too late for me to try poetry, even copying it down from a notebook that itself was scribbled in very late after a 14 hour day. think of that. think of doing something rigorous for 2 hours, and then multiply that by 7. that was my workday today. calls from the boss were bad. fortunate calls from my mother were good. i didn't read any today, and i really wanna get to bed to see what happens in confederacy of dunces, but this live journal thing is becoming a way to wind down pretty effectively. put in some music and read what up or down about the few people i know.

so good to have a day off tomorrow. i think i must see hitchhiker's again, but i've got lots to do at home, so i'll maybe make it late, but i've gotta see it while it's in the big theater again.

must sleep now before the babbling sets in. crystal, thank you again from the bottom of my first baby's heart, which we will release to you in payment for finishing this completist's decemberists. just a week and three days til ah-mee and i see them, and it's wierd to look forward to something more than that star wars flick as far as media consumption goes. josh, that was a great rant on politics and religion. when are you gonna run for something, brother. i heard recently loneliness is linked to heart disease. just thought i'd say that--brocktree
