A new one just begun...

It's school again. I don't really know how I feel about it.

It was very nice to see all of my family again, even if Gavin does still insist on stealing my wand at any given opportunity. It's more than a little bit irritating to have it turn up on my pillow with Merlin-knows-what kind of sticky, gooey substance on it. My mother wouldn't let me touch

Can you believe we're almost done with the school year? I can't! NEWTs already?! Gods! Where'd the time go?

I'm trying not to think about it, because even when I think about it I still can't make myself do anything.

At least it's been a fun year so far, right?

I know exactly what you mean and yeah, it has been a fun year. But do the teachers have to pile on more homework just as we get back?

I suppose it's to get us all motivated again so we can achieve at our normal levels for the rest of the year.

I think I'm still achieving, at any rate.

I'm lucky my nose isn't perminately stuck in a book and believe me potions is not what I want to be reading right now.

Mmmm...Potions. Everyone's favorite subject.
Yeah, good luck with that one. I almost feel like picking up a Charms book now, so I might be making progress.

Almost? After a lazy holiday, it's hard to get back into the swing of things, yeah?

Just a little bit. It almost makes me wish that I had cracked a textbook over the holidays.
Laziness is actually kind of nice, though.

I cracked a book, but it wasn't a textbook. I've had enough of those, but it looks like I'm going to have to start cracking them open again.

Should we grab Padma and have a study session this week?

That would be so much more fun though. And failed study sessions actually do tend to make me do more work anyway out of guilt, so it wouldn't completely miss its purpose.
