Significant Action

Is faith really faith without action??

I heard it said recently that faith without action are only ideas or concepts. See the thing we call faith sometimes is really only an idea or a belief system that we have formulated without it being put to the test. Or to put it another way a belief system that has cost us nothing.

Living with a serious illness really puts the concept of a God who can heal to the test, I have always believed based on scripture that God has the power to heal any sickness but the problem comes when he doesn't. I still believe God can and will heal me, this in my estimation is a faith that has cost me, I suffer from damage in my body as a result of this illness but still hold to the belief that God can and does heal.

The action part comes from still praying for that miracle again after already having prayed for it countless times before and still expecting an answer.

Faith is walking into the impossible expecting a result based on an impossible God. Taking a first step on a new journey based on an idea nudging on the edge of a perhaps. (1 Samuel 14:6)
