Personality:

Doc:
To be brutally frank, unless you are a nature-loving pacifistic hippie, Doc is probably the most annoying person you will ever meet. And even then, he will probably be very close to the top of the list.

First off, Doc is the only person in history who has joined the army as a "conscientious objector", refusing to take part in combat or take sides. On the surface, this trait doesn't seem that annoying given his role as a medic, except he's sent to the one place in the universe where there is no such thing as neutral. Not only does Doc continue to refuse to take sides in the conflict between the Red and Blue teams, but he constantly reminds people of his objectivity in a very optimistic, cheerful, and matter-of-fact manner that only serves to set off the aggressive personalities within the canyon. Doc is very bad at sensing how other people feel about him, and it never registers with him when someone dislikes him. This trait, combined with his happy-go-lucky attitude in a war-like scenario (and a few medical "mishaps" on his behalf), quickly results in Doc being exiled by both teams, confused and hurt. And yet in the end, he somehow remains under the impression that people still get along with him later on in the series, and continues to treat the other soldiers he encounters as friends.

Doc likes to tell people (and constantly remind them) that he is a pacifist, and hates any type of competition or aggression. He states that the only sport he participated in in high school was track because "it was the least competitive sport" he could find, and constantly asks why people can't just get along or find alternative, non-violent methods of solving problems. Doc is not competent around firearms at all, and has very little to no combat training. He is completely incompetent in battle (not that he would ever participate in one), and while he doesn't exactly scream like a girl amidst gunfire, he seems very uncomfortable around violence of any kind.

Doc also tends to avoid any phrasing or wording that remotely sound aggressive. He apologizes and seems to feel guilt whenever he says something even slightly antagonistic, and chooses roundabout words instead of swear words when he is agitated in the beginning, such as saying "h-e double hockey sticks" instead of hell, but promptly apologizing afterward for saying it. He suggests to people that certain type of wording is unnecessary or hurtful, and that there are more progressive and nicer ways to express concern.

So, an overly-friendly medical officer that insists on not having any bias when helping people; that doesn't sound that annoying, right? I mean, aside from refusing to help you battle, what's the harm in that? Well, let's just say Doc is the farthest thing from an actually efficient medical officer possible. In fact, he's more likely to be the cause of your death than he is the cause of your recovery - if you're even sick to begin with. It is revealed that out of all the people in Blood Gulch, Doc has the highest kill count of anyone, though he claims "The Medical Board cleared him of those." Doc quickly failed out of the prestigious medical school of Jamaica State, and yet somehow is entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring the medical safety of soldiers. On top of being absolutely useless battle-wise, Doc quickly annoys everyone he is assigned to help by showing he is absolutely useless in the one area he is supposed to excel in. When someone gets his toe shot off, Doc's remedy is to rub aloe vera on that person's neck. He's quick to agree with mouth-to-mouth as an acceptable response to a gunshot in the head, and his "logical explanation" for finding two heartbeats in a grown male is that his patient is pregnant (which, surprisingly, he was right about, but we won't go into that). He reminds people that medics are not like doctors in the way that they heal people, but that they're simply there to make people more comfortable as they die. Pathetically enough however, Doc even fails at that.

Omega:
Separate from a host of any kind, Omega is simply just rage in program form; he is a fragment of the original Alpha AI, and as such is a compartmentalized, purified representation of a single emotion - in this case, anger. Since he is never seen separate from a host, there is never any concrete evidence of defined goals or a personality of any kind. In fact, with his programming unable to step outside the bounds of anything non-wrath related, it can be assumed that he is incapable of definitive goals or a real personality.

When residing in a host, however, Omega has been shown to take on very definitive personality traits, and while they differ from person to person, there are a few underlying similarities (mostly relating to anger at the world, and the wish to dominate it). His motivations and intelligence also differ from host to host, which is unlike most other AIs, who often have a definitive intelligence level and protocol programmed into them, despite their host area. This anomaly is most likely due to Omega's programming being so overtaken by a single emotion that it has no room for true intelligence or creativity of any sort, and instead feeds off the environment when it gets the chance.

Inside Doc however, Omega ("O'Malley") can best be described as a badly-done Disney villain. Oddly enough, his personality in Doc is almost the polar opposite of Doc's own personality. O'Malley speaks almost always of world domination of some sort, and all of his goals are based towards eradicating the Red and Blue teams in his quest to rule the world. He often overuses words such as "fool", "folly", and "evil", and has the token evil villain laugh, which he brings out after nearly every declaration he makes about his evil plans (which is about every other sentence). Also like your traditional villain, he has complex plans and plots to achieve his diabolical ends, but O'Malley seems to lack the resources and overall skill level to achieve these plans. This is why (once again, like most villains), he employs someone else (a lackey or 'henchman', if you will) to build his contraptions for him.

In the intelligence department, O'Malley may seem smart enough at first (he does come up with some rather elaborate plans, though all of them fail), however he does seem to have trouble pronouncing certain tough words, such as nuclear and fruition. He also does not seem to have a high degree of foresight, which often leads to his plans fizzling out right as they're about to come to fruition, but that is probably because he falls prey to the traditional villain shortcoming: losing strictly because he is a villain, which he does every time.

O'Malley has never shown any sort of attachment, care, or concern for anyone outside of himself, so it can safely be said that he is incapable of forming bonds or meaningful relationships with others. Indeed, even after seasons of being stuck with Doc, which is more than enough time to form any sort of bond, O'Malley still insists that he is only using Doc to fulfill his evil plans, and that when he is finished, he intends to "throw [Doc]'s rotting carcass into a swamp and let the beasts feed on [his] entrails".

Doc & Omega Together and Post-Separation:
Together, Doc and Omega are the epitome of an odd couple. They're complete opposites, and bicker constantly, though on Doc's side his replies are more akin to helpful suggestions than arguments. O'Malley is constantly talking about his plans for domination and putting down Doc's helpful words or suggestions of peace, but Doc never acts off-put by any of it. In fact, he even considers their being together a sort of "relationship", and even after O'Malley threatens him, he simply replies with a "I love you too, buddy!" Doc is very much O'Malley's foil, and seems to be completely immune to any of his insults, threats, or violent tendencies. Whereas many peoples personalities change upon Omega entering them, seemingly melding the two entities together, Doc still retains his entire self, co-existing with Omega rather than being taken over by him. However, Omega does seem to be in physical control of Doc while implanted.

Post-separation, at the end of the Blood Gulch Chronicles, Doc seems to undergo a bit of a personality change after Omega is ejected from his head. He still retains his helpful and most of his pacifistic demeanor, but seems to have become a bit more sly and has no qualms with throwing out insulting or aggressive comments to some people, mostly those who have caused him many inconveniences in the past. Slyness-wise, he is able to get a girl to come into the base with him and strip willingly for a medical physical, something he may have had trouble with before Omega. He also asserts his rank to stop Church from entering the base, a somewhat aggressive move he would not have done prior to Omega being ejected from his head. Attitude-wise, Doc is shown telling Caboose to shut up when the soldier calls him a horrible doctor, and later is shown using a curse word and sarcastic tone in a frustrating and annoying situation, losing a little bit of his optimistic edge. However, he still retains a cheery personality, especially around new people, and continues to see the bright side of things.

Extra:
Character Abilities:
Doc honestly has no outstanding abilities. He may hold the title of medic, but the most he's done in the series as far as his medical abilities go is rub aloe vera on the neck of a gunshot victim. Also, he may wear the distinctive MJOLNIR armor of super soldiers, but as he refuses to fight in any way, his abilities in battle are unknown. It's probably safe to say they're nonexistent, due to his lack of battlefield experience.

It was briefly noted, however, that Doc is "wicked fast", but this was only when he was with O'Malley; this claim can be backed up partly by Doc having lettered in track in high school, but is most likely due to having an AI bred for combat embedded in his armor.

Omega has the ability to hop through the active radios of MJOLNIR armor if he so chooses, which allows him to take control of the suit of armor. However, since the only other person to inhabit is Tex (someone who wouldn't still have her radio on anyway), Omega is stuck with Doc for now.

Possessions:
• Mark Six MJOLNIR armor, which he'll arrive in.
• Medical scanner resembling a plasma pistol. This supposedly allows him to scan people's vitals as well as detect certain medical problems, though it's rarely reliable.
Artificial Intelligence Program Omega (also known as "O'Malley") which will be implanted into the AI slot in his armor.

Anything else:
Thread-wise, I will be using two accounts for Doc - one to represent Doc's comments, the other to represent Omega.

(voice sample)

[A bit of static is heard over the seal, almost like a radio trying to catch onto the right frequency. Two voices can be heard behind the static, one trying to talk over the other.]

-You're not the best with approaching new people, O'Malley. Maybe I should take this one-

[There's more static and another voice, this one much more angrier and foreboding than the other comes on.]

You fool! You're the one that got us into that situation in the last place with your incompetence!

[There's a bit more static and some unintelligible bickering before it sounds like the more antagonistic voice finally seems to give up, and the static disappears. The voice that comes over the seal now is much more cheery.]

-Uh, hey? Is anybody there? This is Medical Officer DuFresne. Does anyone read me? I'm, uh, I'm a little lost...I think.

Hello?
