Title: "Epiphany" 1/1
Author: Brenda (azewewish)
Fandom: Lotrips
Pairing: Karl Urban/Orlando Bloom
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: Never happened.
Summary: Orlando's got a lot to make up for.
Notes: Found this buried in a notebook from about five years ago.

The thought that Karl would never look at him again with love or lust or even simple affection spurned him towards recklessness... )

I especially like how you've suggested, rather than outright spelled out, the details of what happened between them. This was a really nice read, with just the right level of regret and sadness and ambiguity about how it'll all turn out.

You know me, queen of allusion. *g*

Glad you liked it, hon, and even more impressed that you read an Orlando fic. ;)

Thanks!!! I couldn't just leave Orlando hanging like that. Sure, he fucked up, but he's trying. :)

Sounds like he messed things up the first time. I'm betting that Karl can get him to repent very nicely. *giggles at the thought*

ouch - so damn real it hurts.

"Why didn't you...y'know, fight for me?" Orlando asked, surprising himself with the question.

Karl seemed equally surprised. "Fight who?" he asked. "Fight what? Him? By the time I even realized he was a threat, it was too late. The damage was done, and I'd already lost."

Another beautiful bit of interaction for the two of them.

Thank you so much!! It was actually that bit of dialogue that convinced me I could update this & make it something I could post. :)
