Oh MAN. I always love your characterizations and this is no exception. I love how you describe Chris's jealousy and how much of it has to do with his own insecurities and so very little to actually do with Jensen. I love how this totally feels like a natural progression from who they are at the beginning to who they are at the end.
When he steps under the spray, clothes on and all, Jensen's right there, pressing him against the tile, lips against his, asking permission with the flicker of his tongue. Chris opens his mouth, answering with a low moan, and lets go, lets it happen.
That image is so sexy that it sort of melts my brain.
Chris slips into slumber. And dreams of wandering, lost in a forest, until a freckle-faced, tow-headed kid in a baseball cap with a wide grin takes his hand to lead him home.
I love that. Love the symbolism it may or may not contain, I love that Chris feels lost and and dreams about being found.
He's been missing simple joy in his life for too long.
And that's really IT, that right there. And Chris is lucky to have a friend like Jensen to remind him about what really matters, to find him.

Oh, baby, you have NO idea how relieved I am that you think that. Seriously. That was my biggest fear writing this (and one reason it took me so long) that I wouldn't be able to write the friendship as the first & foremost relationship.
