I just stole a new icon off of the Northwestern webmail program's "processing" page. The e-mail program is called "emu-mail". The servers are named "hecky" (mine), "casbah", "lulu" and "merle".
I kinda like the idea of the strutting emu as an icon.
Oh, and a shout-out to the underrepresented EP. Elizabeth dahling, thank you for stalking my livejournal.
Speaking of shout-outs, it's time for a shameless plug. Not just any shameless plug, but a plug for my recital with the effervescent Elizabeth and the crazy crazy Chelsea.
Who: The three sisters from Fiddler on the Roof 2003
What: A high e-flat, a nervous breakdown, a princess, a witch, a fake tenor, some bluegrass, some blues, and a baby
Where: Hines Baker room of St. Lukes, the acoustic carpeted hellhole with the lovely decorations and Steinway. Call if you have no clue where that is.
When: September 2... I think 7 pm I'll edit this entry if it's not 7.
Why: To show off. Well, only a bit. We really like hanging out and singing with each other, and it's my last chance to sing with these two before I head off to freeze.
Please come if you're in town-- I don't want the high school kids showing me up too badly.
