(no subject)
ok so i got caught up in talking about my anniversary that i didnt really update on everything else.
i was at home in cincy this past weekend so that i could audition for PKI. i dont necessarily want to work there this summer, but i wanna be sure to secure a performing job if possible. i would rather be safe than waiting tables because i didnt wanna audition just in case. it went really well and i was glad i was there. i also got to see a bunch of performers from last summer that i havent seen since i left home. so that was nice.
but they had me sing after my dance audition. but they didnt let me sing anything that i brought, they had me sing i love rock and roll. the cool thing is, they only asked three of the girls that auditioned as dancers to sing out of like 30, so that was good for me. that basically means they were seeing if i could work in the school of rock show, which would be really good and a stretch for me because its pretty much a vocalist show with minimal movement. so we shall see how that goes. i should take that as a compliment so i dont know.
i would really like to be in that show i think, if i were to return to PKI. its something new and different and a big challenge for me. so yeah.
today i took the biggest midterm today and i am sooo relieved that it is over. it was for dance history, and the main question was to write a history of ballet from the Italian Renaissance til the end of Russian Classical Ballet. So thats from 1400 til 1910. freakin a. i wanted to vomit. BUT its over and i know i did well and i know i did my best so lets hope that goes well.
but i get to go to NYC again this weekend! my dance history teacher has an amazing relationship with American Ballet Theatre so we get free tickets! Free tickets to see three main characters from Center Stage and much better people than that up close and personal! Live! Its crazy! im stoked.
