So, we're at song #74, right? Right now, FSU and Miami are taking the ball to task, but I wanted to let you know what I had a chance to listen to this week... not much, really, but its some:
Song #74... "Between You and Me" by dcTalk. Along with Jennifer Knapp's "Kansas", dcTalk's "Jesus Freak" is simply the finest two albums in all of Christian music, and on this song, there is very few songs of any genre that can match the harmony and chord of this group at their absolute peak.
Song #75... "Big Fish" by FFH. From the album "When I Praise", which is their best cd to date.
Song #76... "Lovely Day" by Bill Withers (artist listed first. Just a great classic R&B tune (good remake in the early 90s by christian group Out of Eden). You should download it and have a listen.
Song #77... "Billie Jean" by Michael Jackson. Again... he was good when he wasn't such a wacko. Jacko.
Song #78... "Birmingham" by Amanda Marshall. One of those songs that was popular for a little while, then suddenly no one played it. Yes, its a song about our Birmingham, and a guy who shoots his tv and... you know, I'm not sure what else. But I like the song.
Song #79... "Bit Part" by The Lemonheads. Aaah... a great song from a great album, "A Shame About Ray". I picked this up in 1994 courtesy of Mike Dunn in the guys dorm. He turned out to be a total waste of a human, but he liked good music.
Song #80... "Black Balloon" by The Goo Goo Dolls. One of my top twenty favorite songs of all time, though I haven't a clue what it means.
Song #81... "No Diggity" by Blackstreet (artist listed first). Good beat, good song, good rhythm. I happen to have the Dre mix, where he does a little rap as well, so all the better.
Song #82... "Blame It On Your Heart" by Patty Loveless. I really used to like this song, but I am afraid its on its way out soon.
Song #83... "Blaze of Glory" by Jon Bon Jovi. Man, singing this song at the top of your lungs... this is truly a guy song if there ever was one.
So thats it so far... however, I'll get to some changes and such, lose some songs, gain some songs, so I'll keep you updated, because I know you care!
