So today is not very exciting. Not at all. I'm so lazy, right now. At least I went out for like fifteen minutes. I think I'll take the dog out after I write this.
The big news: iBook Duncan is back. I've been spending the past day with him, going to my favorite wireless ports downtown and playing around with him. Ultimately, I'm wasting my life in front of his screen, but you know... it's been a month since I've been able to do this, so whatever. I love him, whether or not it makes me look sad.
... I just got back from a outing with the dog and the mom. That was a nice interruption to my LJ writing.
On Sunday, I got a haircut. I thought it would be pretty ridiculous to walk around SF (where everyone wears their hair with some kind of hair product) with my long, uncombed, asian bowl- puff doo. It allowed me to feel good about...
...Walking around downtown, picking up applications on the job hunt. I really need a job soon. But as I was walking, it became quite apparent that I needed to make a resume. Ugh! I hate making resumes. I've been trying to create one for the past two days. I've never successful written one. I get so frustrated trying to sell my work experiences because it always sounds lame the way I word things. Even with those fucking "action words" people are always talking about! Can someone write it for me? Please. It needs to get done so I can get on with my life.
I was concentrating on getting a job at three types of businesses: (in order of priority) restaurants and bars, bookstores, and electronic/gaming stores. It was fun to walk around, informing people that I would like to join the staff, because all these stores are my favorite places.
As I made my way past A.C.T., I thought, "Hmmm... maybe I want to usher as a second, night-time job." So my plan, now, is to get a full-time day job with an ushering job at one of the big name SF theaters. I know I can easily get a job at A.C.T., so I know that this plan will happen. This is going to be an awesome summer.
Off to write this fucking resume. SF people, give me a call and let's do something. Non-SF people, come visit. You can stay at my house. And... I'm off.
