Jeff Ray is God.
I had an amazing voice lesson today. Absolutely incredible. I'm learning how to raise my soft palate and lift my resonance into my nasal cavity rather than in my mouth or my throat. And I'm getting better at not moving my jaw so much. It makes so much difference. I've had two voice lessons with Jeff and already I sound different. I feel different. And when I sing correctly, it's so much easier. So much less pressure on my throat. It's so great.
And I am singing Porgi Amor. Jeff and I worked on it some today and he thinks I can have it ready by solo-ensemble. And he's having me sing another aria from the fourth act of "Le Nozze..." I'm really excited.
