Emili, Katie, Cyndi, Lindsey, and I are the new goddesses of 100.7
I just had to say that. lol. I had a wonderful day today. Which is unusual for me, but oh well. It's nice to have something positive to say.
So this morning started off insanely early. I managed to drag my ghetto booty out of bed at 5 this morning, so I could shower and get my stuff together for school and still be at the pancake house by 6:15. I, being the completely amazing person that I am, managed to be on time for once. And of course, everyone else was late. lol. But that's okay. I lurve them anyway.
Me and Emili got there first, so we chilled out and waited for the others. We did notice, however, that 100.7, the radio station was broadcasting from the pancake house. Neither of us understood why, but we thought it was cool. So Katie, Lindsey, and Cyndi eventually got there and we ordered our food... and we were all like "We should so go up there and ask those radio guys to say something about opera scenes..." So we decided we'd do it as we were leaving. So we ate our food and talked and laughed. I really like these people, they're extremely funny. We got up to pay the bill, walked right past the radio guys, and out into the parking lot.
So we're all standing in the parking lot and Katie's like "We should go back in and talk to them" and then there was a whole debacle about who should talk. And somehow I got nominated. *shrugs* I said no at first, but they made me.... *shifty eyes*
We went inside and, since the guys had gone to a commercial, we asked them if they could say something about opera scenes. We told them the dates and location and stuff. So the guy was like "Do you have to go or can you hang around for a couple of minutes?" So we told him we could stay.
When the commercials were over, he asked me a bunch of questions and I answered them as best I could. I told the guy that it was three death scenes from three different operas and that everyone dies at the end, and he was like "Oh, so is there a lot of gore? A lot of technical things?" And I, not really wanting to say no because it sounds bad lol, said "Well, you'll just have to come see and find out." I was muy proud of myself.
And they ended the interview, and we all go out into the parking lot, and Katie like ambushes me from behind. She was like "That was awesome" And i was like "Thanks." And I got hugs from everybody... it was kind of strange, but in a good way. I think I smiled all day.
Then I went to first hour and did my presentation/speech. It went really well. Matt rocked. I mean, he really rocked. He was exactly mean enough. I was very very pleased. I think we did well. And we hit the time marker right on the dot. 2:57... And we got to see Amanda die and Amy be a man, and Dan be a woman/transvestite. It was very amusing over all.
The rest of the day was kind of a blur... I had to drive the brother around a lot after school. But it was okay, because he paid me 5 bucks and bought me Subway for dinner.
And now I'm insanely hyper, despite the fact that I should be exhausted, since I've been up since 5. Oh well.
