whoosh!
my mother pointed out to me that I have been unknown to the world, at least through livejournal, for the past week. for good reason! life has been busy. some exciting events:
- Beth and I are moving forward on our projects at Bush Radio - we're going to the Association for Voluntary Sterilization on Monday to do some interviews, and then to the Western Cape Anti-Crime Forum on Thursday.
- Today we went on a township tour, a whirlwind trip through a number of significant sites in the struggle, ending with a big conversation, mediated by a Xhosa translator and home-brewed beer, on changes in daily life (or the lack thereof) post-apartheid.
- Partying in Green Point :-) Kim alleges there are photos somewhere online. hmmm ...
tonight I'm going for a 'sundowner'- evening party on the beach - for Kim's birthday. we collectively bought her a nice bottle of champagne and I'm going to go make her a sketch of Table Mountain, post-internet. then tomorrow we're climbing Table Mountain. total bliss.
oh, and it looks like BeyondChron.com is offering me an internship!
