strangers waiting up and down the boulevard
Last Wednesday a weird girl approached me while I was waiting for my mom in front of her office and boy, I have never told so many lies consecutively in my entire life.
Aka in around 10 minutes this has been me:
1. Fine Arts student, major in Sculpture (apologies to FA I have no talent at all)
2. An alumna of nearby Poveda (sorry Povedan friends since you it was the school nearby :( )
3. I did NOT live in Manila
4. My parents were both abroad
5. I have a sister
6. Said sister is in college
7. Okay marami pa yan but I can't remember them anymore hihi
First it was just a simple "Excuse me, anong oras na?" approach which evolved into something horrible and annoying. By the latter part of our conversation I could tell she was trying to get my number (!!!)
This defies description I swear.
Stranger: Working student kasi ako eh. Open pa ba ang UP for enrollment?
Me: Uh... No (aka why are you asking me this)
Stranger: Gusto ko kasi sanang magenroll eh. Hindi ba pwedeng humabol pa?
Me: No, I don't think so
Stranger: Saan kaya ako pwedeng magtanong? (HINDI SAKIN, MOST DEF)
Me: Uh, sa registrar na lang. Go there na lang and ask
Stranger: Hindi ba pwedeng sayo na lang? Text kita, o, kaya...
Me: No, I'm a freshman. Idk about this. Go ask na lang
Stranger: May entrance exam ba ang UP? Mahirap ba? Gusto ko sanang mag-aral dun eh
Me: Um, yeah (EXCUSE ME, ALAM MO YUNG UPCAT? UPCAT!!!)
*phone rings kunyari -- I get the hell out of there and kasjdlaskjdskladjlas my thoughts
That was last Wednesday.
And today, while in Bestsellers in Galle, this dude approaches me and gives me a letter asking for money!!!
EXCUSE ME, WTH
He was like, "Ate, wag kang matakot. Go, sige basahin mo."
Of course, my default reaction = Uh what is this on the outside, and WTFRUDOING on the inside :)
I was like, "Sorry, I can't give you anything" when he puts his arm around me and tries to hug me but I stand stock-still and still he says, "Nice to meet you"
AND OH MY GOD HE DOES THE BESO-BESO
I wanted to cry and die and for the earth to swallow me whole oh my god ;__________;
Why don't I have dudepare friends or older brothers to defend my honor from such ;___________;
Enlighten me, please. For once, can't I attract the cute people? Or at least, the normal ones? D:
