"ode to the world"

I don't know
stay here and hurt me..
and say you never will.
life is
like the caged bird
finally leaving
its nest
to only find
insecurities
and fall due to
the overwhelming stress
I finally realized
life is just a big confusing mess
in which we later soon to suppress.
this anger and stress
we might as well
just continue destroying ourselves
with the induction
of Multiple pills
and indulge in what we call happiness
at the bottom of these endless bottles of booze
but when we become to obivious
to people
by looking at our behavior
and they ask us what we drank
we just answer
it was distilled water
water of some sort
a special blend of our pain and suffering
to drown out our tears and sorrows
and borrow happiness from it
atleast for a while
to dilute our minds
into thinkin that we're fine
into thinking that we're normal
in this fucked up society we call home
its not a rarity to claim insanity
to mindless drones
every hit to the body
shatters the bones
and spit the internals
blood on the streets
shit you'd find
if you were witnessing
a newborn being born.
like a sea of gore
the streets fill up with garbage and whores
the beggars line the streets
for their daily retreat
of mindless jabbering and constant slurs
to passerbys
what a life we live in
what a city to be in
I can't stand the pain anymore
I want it to end
find true happiness
wake up from the nightmare
follow the yellow brick road
and comeback home.
unlike Dorothy I can put on my slippers
tap twice and never be home
in this sick twisted world
of hatred and greed
this nightmare only grows
as our undeveloped minds
soon to shiver off and die
