Step Into My Office

So, as a sort of, therapeutic (sp?) exercise for myself, I decided to write song. Feedback is welcomed.

"Step Into My Office"

Right on-time for your 3 o'clock appointment,
Step into my office and lets begin.
Sit in the chair I can see your feeling restless,
And tell me why sleep has evaded you.
The beginning is always the best place to start,
So take a deep breath and replay your show.
Events unfolding, emotions churning,
The lump in your throat speaks a volume for you.
The more that I hear the more that I fear,
That there is nothing I can do for you.

How does help come in when the doctor is out?
How can you fix a problem without the cure?
My time is running short and my breath is too,
I'm sorry there is nothing I can do for you.

I can see the tears that gather on your lashes,
And I've noticed the beads of sweat lining your brow.
As you grip the armrest the tension has grown,
Anxiety takes over and your feeling alone.
Trapped in yourself with no way to escape,
and your eyes don't show you what you want to see.
The pain in your head on display for the masses,
With no one and nothing to tune it out.
As your leaving your seat and you break for the door,
You realize your alone and the doctor is out,
And in the end there's nothing he can do for you.

(End)
