Life Update

Yo peepz!

Life is very different today than it was when I wrote my last journal entry. I guess life is never the same after falling out of an airplane through the sky....that's right. I went skydiving. My BFF Katie was in town to visit this weekend and on Sunday we took a trip to Wisconsin to go skydiving and eat cheese curds (delicious). We of course went to Church Saturday evening, in the event that if anything happened we'd still be tight with the G.O.D. Y'all know how he rolls.

Anywho...beyond that, August was a crazy month, what with the bridge collapse and Christina's funeral and everything. I'm no where near over it all yet. I'm still looking at LA as a possible next move for promotion...a change in scenery may be just what I need after this past month. I'm also looking at a few positions here in MN. Headquarters is definitely where the final opportunity lies (aka when I'm EVP), and I want to go back into the field before plopping down in MN forever. It's basically between the coasts. Boston might be a possibility, as would be NYC or DC. I really want to do the West Coast thing though, spend some time living by the Pacific for a change...LA is still holding down the #1 spot on my list of places to live. Followed closely by London (love it!), which is all the way across the pond, but would also be a nice change of scenery.

Sammy is doing well. His favorite game to play is still 'pretend I don't hear what mom's saying' but he's a good dog for the most part. No more furniture or shoe destruction, which is always a win. :)

Clint (the roommate) is also doing well. He broke up with Jodi a few weeks ago, but it's ok. It's not meant to be. He's also back in school, so now both of us have homework. MUAHAHAHAHA. ;)

Homework. I am sooo behind right now. This weekend is going to be straight paper writing, with a softball game Sunday night thrown in for sanity maintenance purposes.

I am at the beginning of Week 4 of my 9-week 5K training program. I'm up to running for 8 minutes without stopping, which is kind of a big deal considering I've only been running since 3 weeks ago. I had my first weight training session today and I have a cycling class tomorrow. Yay for the YMCA! Even if it's expensive, it's worth it.

I think that's it for now. If you haven't seen High School Musical 2, watch it. It's awesome. I like it better than the first HSM. In my opinion, HSM2 has better songs, better dancing, and better acting (in general). Zac, Ashley, Lucas, and Vanessa are truly the stars of the show, but there's more interaction from the supporting cast in this movie too. I'm rambling. Just check it out. You won't be disappointed. :)

And with that, I'm going to bed. Toodles!
