Whee!
Just got back from a whirlwind trip to Orlando with Carolyn and Josh. Actually, it was reasonably relaxed, but it seems hard to believe it was only two days. The Florida Mall is pretty cool....I mean, any place with a candy store that sells Chocolate Frogs, Fizzing Whizzbies, Ice Mice, and Drooble's Best Blowing Gum has gotta be cool, right? Got a pretty kickass shirt, so all is well. The Apple Store increased my yearning for an iPod, the purchase of which will probably happen soon, as I killed my portable CD player Thursday. Ah, well. And we had a great meal at HUE, in the Eola Lake area, where I also found a wine bar/store, so picked up a bottle of Shiraz I haven't seen before....will tell you the verdict when I open it. But, the highlight of the weekend....
COLDPLAY!!!!
Chris Martin....*sigh* Gwenyth, step aside. Oh my lord, I've never wanted to be a piano so badly!!! Our seats were to the side of the stage, a bit behind, so the tickets said "limited view." Well, our view wasn't so limited....Chris Martin....mere feet away....*sigh* And I almost got the jersey he wore during the encore, as he threw it up our way, but big burly men beat me to it. What they're going to do with it, I'm not certain....hmm....{: ) *sigh*....HOT, HOT, HOT!!! Oh, and they sounded incredible, too. {; )
Well, my week off from work certainly ended well. Didn't get as much done as I would have liked otherwise, but definitely had my fair share of leisure. Yippee! {: )
