Sorry, it's just my email. I do miss you all. I was homesick before I left which really sucks. I come back next Wednesday (the 26th) night. If you REALLY want to, you can come and see me but I understand if you are too busy ;-) Just to let you know, all but the keys on the computer and the text I am typing now was in Chinese. I fixed some of it but the right click thing is still in chinese. I guessed which meant copy and paste and I was right!!!!!!! I LOVE ZACK......and everyone else...but don't worry, I'm not gonna jump on you.

Happy Tuesday afternoon!! I guess most of you will be going to bed right now (or should be).

I've never been in the minority before so it feels so odd to be walking down a busy street and seeing no other white people around me. Everyone is so nice....and little.

It has been a very eventful few days. Thursday night, as we drove in to LAX, Gracie got so excited. She saw all of the airplanes and called them, "Jay Jay!" Then she said, "Oh no. It's stuck. Jay Jay broken..." It was so cute!! I guess it does look like the airplanes are stuck because they get so close to the building. We had an unexpected layover in Taiwan on our way to Hong Kong. That was pretty cool even though we were only there for about an hour.

Hong Kong was FABULOUS! Our hotel connected to the airport so we never actually ventured out in to the city of Hong Kong but I didn't care. That airport was more like a ginormous mall with airplanes parked along side it. They had McDonalds and Starbucks. They also had about 5 WH Smith stores, 2 Disney stores, The Ralph Lauren Store, Gucci, Prada, and Tiffany & Co. It was pretty awesome.

We can't drink the water here. My head has been aching so I think I'm dehydrated. We have to use bottled water to brush our teeth. Taking a shower is so difficult. If I come back smelling disgusting....you'll know why. I have to stand in the shower, with my mouth shut tight. You should try it. It's pretty hard. Even if a drop gets in to my mouth, I could get really sick. The kind of sick where you can't leave the bathroom for days!

Yesterday morning, we got Kai. He is such a cute little kid. We're friends now. He likes me a lot! I was happy. He loves to be chased around by Rachele, Gracie and my Dad but he always comes to Mom and I for protection.

When we went to breakfast today, Kai got so excited. He ate his watermelon slice right down to the green. There was absolutely NO pink left! He looked at me smiling, grunted, "Ahhhh!!" and then dropped the naked watermelon on the ground. He eats with such gusto. It's quite a change from our little dainty eater Gracie.

On our way to the grocery store last night, I almost got run over by a motorcycle. The driving here is insane and terrifying. The drivers, bike riders, and pedestrians seem to have some sort of understanding that says, "First come, first serve." For example, as we were in the left turn lane this afternoon, the light turned green. Well, You know how you're supposed to crawl up and then turn when the way is clear? Well, they don't do that here. Our driver just SLOWLY started turning, ignoring the straightgoing traffic across the way. Then of course, some bike rider starts driving diagonally from one corner to another...straight in front of us and the other moving cars. Somehow we all made it...but don't ask me how. No wonder my toes are always curled so tightly every time I get in to that car!

Anyway, the supermarket was a disturbing experience. One section smelled like rotting dead things (around the food, I know, I lost my appetite). In another section, there were dead things. They had little water-filled trays with snakes and frogs. There were also these red mesh bags with a turtle inside. Then they had dried, hanging chickens, ducks, and pigs. I had to be careful so as not to bang my head on them. In the frozen meat section, they didn't have those handy-dandy carton things. They just had these eels and fish, and other things, lying out curled up in piles. It wasn't behind glass either. I could have picked it up if I had wanted to. I saw something that looked like jarred scorpions too. THEN!! Oh my gosh, this part freaked me out! I saw this lady holding this chicken (not dried) as she came to stand behind us in line. Even though it was dead, it freaked me out so I was trying to move fast but Rachele was moving slow. THEN! All of a sudden, I hear this "BRACCKKK." Oh gosh, I nearly fell over. It was ALIVE! Even though all of these things were memorable, I think the most memorable thing was when we were looking at all of the fruit in the fruit section and Rachele said, "I wanna go see the produce section."

Tomorrow we go to Dong Yong to visit Gracie's orphanage and nanny. It is going to be so sad!

I will hopefully talk to you guys soon. I dunno though. This whole email typing has cost me 20 yuan (that's about $2.50).

Love to you all!

Sai Jen!
